Heroes

Several weeks ago, I wrote an oral essay about heroes.  What I said exactly, I'm not so sure.  All I know is that I wrote about how the world has the "average day" heroes, from people who hold doors, to doctors who save the lives of cancer patients.  Then I spoke about three individual heroes, Barrack Obama, Randy Pausch, and some African American writer that I forgot the name of.  Anyway, I was listening to "Heroes" by Seether, when I realized that the world desperately needs heroes.  Think about it; writers and artists for centuries have been dreaming of the day when the world is at peace thanks to a certain hero or a group of heroes.  Isn't that where the idea of communism came from (in actuality, it came from capitalism and the Industrial Revolution), well, the purpose it tries to serve anyway.  Isn't that part of the reason why the idea of anarchy came up and why Nietzche came up with the "overman"?

So why do the dreamers (the aforementioned people and others in their category) become the ones who take action?  Is it because some fate cripples the dreamers to remain only dreamers, or because we cripple ourselves?  In all honesty, I don't have the strength nor willpower to become some overman or live to create a Eutopia, but I can atleast help in the small ways.  Like presuading little kids not to drink or being mannerful in the little ways I can.  I wish I could speak for most people though, which I know I can't.  How pathetic is that?

Is There Anyone Out There? (I Mean, Besides The Japanese)

To know what I'm talking about, please refer to this link:  http://finance.yahoo.com/career-work/article/106964/Japan-Pays-Foreign-Workers-to-Go-Home

After reading this article, one thing came to mind.  Japan sure does love their sayings.  One of them, which was mentioned in Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift, talks about how the people who stick out usually get put in their place.  I know that's not the reason why the Japanese government has decided to throw out thousands of blue-collar Latin American immigrants, but it sure isn't sending a good message when it comes to work from overseas.  What kind of impression must this be sending to people overseas, those who want to be future workers, and those who want to be future clients?

When you think about it, it is a smart way to create jobs for the jobless in Japan, but what if the demand is not met, or if the workers ask for a higher wage, setting Japan off already with its amounting debt.  We must also remember that the government is paying for these families to leave, putting Japan into a deeper debt.  In the end, is it really worth it?

To finish this post off, I would like to say that my title refers to the action the Japanese government is taking, sending a message to those overseas that they only depend on one another.

Those To Be Damned (By Vigilantes)

Once again I am using a rather vague title, but trust me, it has something to do with what I will be talking about tonight.

Please refer to this article:

http://www.2news.tv/news/38024699.html

People, you might not agree with me on this, but I follow some of Nietzsche's beliefs, including the fact that Christendom is full of hypocrites. I mean, come on! Please tell me you know a Christen who's never cursed in their life or said "God dammit!" (Which by the way, if you look at it one way, it kind of means you're damning God.). So please, don't tell me that homosexuals/bisexuals have crossed a line that you haven't (i.e. raping, killing, stealing, violating, lying, abusing, promoting violence, etc).

People on Earth were created on Earth to be diverse, or different. If they weren't, explain our skin color. Now, this has nothing to do with religion. That's just plain genetics. So why can't our behaviors/emotion be different too? That would just be wrong, and people should express themselves freely, or they'll be endangering their health (i.e. stress, anxiety, suicide, ulcers, etc). At one point, being a darker skin color than another person was considered wrong, and because of that, they were placed into slavery (Of course, there is a very ignorant history behind this, one involving trade with African tribes and the Europeans. But that's another story.). Now, in our day and age, most of the people around the world has realized that this behavior is wrong, yet still practice it, just on another group of people.

There's a reason why the media continues to talk about stories such as this one. To make people realize that black and white isn't the only issue in our country (And you would think this ended a long time ago, but . . .), but that sexual orientation is  apart of this. Whether or not you believe in this doesn't mean you have to oppose of this. So choose, will you be a person to single out a group of people because who they have an attraction to, or will you greet them with open arms (Not necessarily meaning you are one of them.)?

As I always end this, my title refers to those who are being singled out by people who are acting like vigilantes, and that these people should not have to suffer like this.

The Wise Ones Who Never Were

For all those who have no idea what the title is referring to, let me give you a hint.

Please look at this link to understand what my gibberish actually means:

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/politics/2009/01/21/nr.sanchez.slater.limbaugh.cnn?iref=videosearch

It's been a tough blow for the Republican party, from the citizens berating Bush for placing us in such a position, leaving us in an economic crisis, and from Senator John McCain not winning this presidential election. But was it really necessary for Mr. Rush Limbaugh to say such a thing as for the nation to fail? Please remember, the current president represents our nation, and if President Barrack Obama were to fail, then we would surely fail, that is, until the next leader comes around to either break/ make our country again. Though this statement by Mr. Limbaugh can be taken in many ways, this is the way I interpret, therefore, my opinion.

Back to my title, I am referring to those Republicans, or any American in fact, who believes that breaking our leader will help you get the politician you want. After all, just because people reach a certain age in life doesn't mean they are wise simply because they have a little silver here and there.

So remember, just because you are an adult doesn't mean diddle-squat!

The Beginning

And so people who come to read this, I have no intention of seeking people out, but for them to seek me. It can be about anything, or nothing at all. For an example, Lemony Snicket, who always tempts the reader by telling them not to read his work, using reverse psychology, (even kids know about this stuff, they see it in cartoons), which triggers something in the human mind to do the opposite of what the author says (just as Tom Sawyer would do). Anyway, what I'm getting at is that if you do find me, I could be about anything, or if you don't find me, I could be about nothing at all. Though it seems rather vague, it's the truth. Ciao ladies and gents!
